The CLIMATE-PLUS energy-saving system from HOBART belt dishwashers attracts the attention of different prize jurages – the warp technology manufacturer was recently awarded the “BEST of Market” award for its innovation.
Offenburg – After HOBART was awarded several times by trade magazines and industry associations last year for the development of its CLIMATE-PLUS energy saving system (among others. Catering Star, Cooking Award, Star Award) the commercial dishwashing technology manufacturer can look forward to another award with the “BEST of Market”. In the energy efficiency category, the Offenburg company convinced the jury with CLIMATE-PLUS, which significantly reduces energy consumption when flushing.
The founder and initiator of the “BEST of Market” is the B&L media company with the trade journals GVmanager, first class, 24 hours of hospitality and street FOOD business. In the online survey, which was conducted at the beginning of 2022, the publisher called on its readers to choose their favorites from the applicants. The results are based on information from gastronomy representatives who have made their assessments regarding their practical experience.
Flight-type dishwashers significantly reduce energy loss
The newly developed CLIMATE-PLUS energy saving system consists of a combination of drain heat recovery and modern heat pump technology. In total, up to 70 per cent of the energy from the waste water and up to 100 per cent of the energy from the exhaust air is fed back into the wash cycle: valuable energy which is left unused in traditional systems. The system lowers energy consumption and reduces operating costs while achieving a constant exhaust air temperature of 17 °C. The hot waste water passes through a heat exchanger unit, where the incoming fresh supply water is heated by the waste water using the counterflow principle. At the same time, energy from the hot exhaust air is also fed back into the wash cycle.
